TRIK’s Porsche mailing awarded “PSI – Campaign of the Year”.

For some Porsche fans, a dream came true last year – they received a Porsche 911 in the mail. A Porsche? By post? On the occasion of the presentation of the new generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupé, the automobile manufacturer sent out a mailing designed by the Chromedia Dialogmarketing agency that was implemented together with TRIK GmbH. The addressees: Potential interested parties, existing customers and direct buyers. But the contents of the small package were quite something, because it contained the model of a new Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupé. The shiny chrome car demonstrated the active aerodynamics of the vehicle – the biggest technological innovation on this model. The advantages were explained in detail in an enclosed, high-quality catalog.

“The aim of the promotional item was to explain both the suitability for everyday use and the performance of the new vehicle using a model in a realistic and detailed way,” says Thomas Huelsmann, Managing Director of TRIK Production Management GmbH. He further explains: “The example impressively demonstrates that promotional items are an integral part of successful marketing campaigns.” A
current GWW study (General Association of the Promotional Products Industry) also comes to this conclusion. Accordingly, promotional items are particularly suitable for increasing the recognition value of a brand or product.

In the case of Porsche, the mailing amplifier made of high-gloss aluminum was enhanced with high-quality packaging. The jury of the “PSI – Campaign of the Year” particularly emphasized in its reasoning: “that the actual mailing amplifier takes its place permanently and thus develops its effectiveness as a long-lasting advertising medium. A statement for a fascinating product and a clear commitment to the use of high-quality promotional items.”

The “PSI – Campaign of the Year” has been awarded since 2008 as part of PSI, the leading European trade fair for the promotional products industry. Promotional product retailers, suppliers, advertising agencies and clients who integrated a promotional product into a campaign were eligible to apply.
